A lot of fun was had on this lifestyle film for the Goodwood organisation to show at the iconic Festival of Speed! Shot entirely on location in the Italian hills outside of Bologna, featuring a beautiful Lamborghini driving on some of the most photogenic roads in Europe - what more could you want?!
Shooting in intense summer heat pushed both crew and kit to their limits. The crew needed regular breaks and a substantial amount of suncream! The in-car cameras struggled with overheating in the scorching sunlight, which was a genuine production problem when time with the vehicle was limited. The solution was to shoot the in-car sequences in sections, giving the cameras time to recover between setups (the divas!). It added a layer of complexity to the schedule, but it's the kind of problem that with our experience and preparation makes totally manageable.
This was one of those shoots where whichever way you pointed the camera you had a beautiful shot. With a Lamborghini in the hills of Bologna we really were spoiled for choice, it was hard to choose which ones to leave out of the final edit!

Access is often tightly controlled, time with the vehicle is limited, and everyone on set understands what they're working with. We treat every vehicle accordingly.
Shooting in intense heat, cold, or unpredictable conditions requires preparation. Crew welfare, kit management, and contingency planning all need to be factored in. High temperatures in particular can cause cameras to overheat, which affects scheduling and requires careful management on the day. Between us we've shot in 23 countries across every kind of condition imaginable.
