Production Management.
The best shoot days don't happen by accident. They happen because someone thought of everything before the cameras rolled.
What's includedProduction management is the backbone of every project we deliver, and while it might not carry the glamour of a great idea or a stunning shot, without it, neither of those things would make it to screen.
At Klaxon, we take the operational complexity of a production completely off your plate. From the moment a concept is greenlit, we're building the framework that makes it happen: locking locations, sourcing and scheduling talent, crewing up, managing budgets, arranging permits and making sure every moving part is in the right place at the right time.
We're meticulous planners, but we're also realists. Productions rarely go exactly to plan, and when something shifts (and something always shifts), our job is to solve it quickly and quietly, so your shoot day stays on track and on budget.
We work closely with clients throughout the pre-production process, keeping communication clear and making sure there are no surprises. You'll always know where things stand. And on shoot days, you can focus on what matters, the creative, while we handle everything else.
It's not the most glamorous part of filmmaking. But done well, it's what separates a smooth, successful production from a stressful one. We've been doing this long enough to know the difference.
Everything that needs to happen before filming begins and everything that needs to be coordinated on shoot days. That includes budgeting, scheduling, location scouting, permits, crewing, talent management, equipment sourcing and logistics. Essentially, if it needs to be organised for a production to happen, it falls under production management.
Calmly and quickly. Productions rarely go entirely to plan - locations change, talent drops out, weather intervenes. Our production managers are experienced problem solvers who anticipate issues before they arise and resolve them without drama when they do. Keeping clients informed throughout is a core part of how we work.
Yes. We manage productions across the UK and internationally. Our network of trusted crew, suppliers and location contacts extends well beyond London, and we're comfortable coordinating complex logistics in locations we haven't worked in before.
